Primary Source- Hitler's Speech
Watch the speech below (it is a few speeches put together). Hitler speaks German, so you will have to read the words at the bottom, unless you speak German. If you don't understand a word, pause it and look it up. You can watch each part a few times if you need help.
After you watch the speech, please write a response to what you saw. It should be at least 6 good sentences. You might want to talk about these things (choose a few):
- How the audience reacts
- What the speech is about
- What are the emotions of speech
- What does Hitler want to do?
- Your feelings about the speech

Both the Hitler biography post and the speech will be due Tuesday evening (April 26) at 10:00.

Just for Fun- Hated People
You do NOT have to do this post. It is just for fun. You won't get extra credit, but it is just to see what you think.
Question: Who is the most hated person in the history of the world? Why?

Blogging Rules
Before we start blogging, I want you to know a few things that will make both you and me very happy. Here are the rules:
1. No matter what, BE KIND! If you make fun of a classmate or teacher, you will not be allowed to write on the blog again. This will be a big problem, since this is your grade for this book. If you want a recommendation for next semester, be responsible.
2. Blogging works best when you read what other people write and respond to that. This does not mean copying. This means looking at other's ideas and adding your own. Read the example about baseball below.
RedSox4Life: It is not fair that the Yankees have so much money that they can buy any player they want. New York is so rich that they should be winning the World Series every year.
Yankeelover: I agree that NY has a lot of money, but remember that so many people want to come to NY because of the history. They have won so many championships that players want to be a part of the best team ever.
3. If you have already written what you need to, you can write again! Keep up on what others have to say!
4. If you have any ideas for a website or response question about the book, write back and let me know! I want this to be your blog :)

Secondary Source- Website
http://fcit.usf.edu/HOLOCAUST/TIMELINE/camps.htm
This is a website from the University of Southern Florida. It gives a timeline and some information about different places. I like this website because you can click on DEFN to get a definition and hear how to say the word.
Go to this website and read some of the information. You don't have to read/understand every part, but read enough to write a paragraph (6-8 sentences) about concentration camps. You may write about dates, places, people, and what happened in the camps (or anything else you think might be important).
