This is a website from the University of Southern Florida. It gives a timeline and some information about different places. I like this website because you can click on DEFN to get a definition and hear how to say the word.
Go to this website and read some of the information. You don't have to read/understand every part, but read enough to write a paragraph (6-8 sentences) about concentration camps. You may write about dates, places, people, and what happened in the camps (or anything else you think might be important).
The Nazis, using different kinds of camps(major role), gassing vans, with orders such as the Night & Fog order and the Final Solution, had killed 5.2 to 5.8 million Jews and 5 million more of other races.
ReplyDeleteCamps were opened since 1933. At first, prizoners were political opponents only, gradually it widened to Jews, Jehovah's Witnesses, Gypsies, etc.
At first, mobile killing squads were used, yet they found death camps a more efficient way to kill the Jews. Also, it gave the "shooters", a "grief-free" condition.
Totally, 2.7 million Jews were killed in death camps, lying to the Jews that they were resettled in the east, and even have unknowing victums send assuring postcards back, leaving millions of Jews go unconciously towards their deaths.

ReplyDeleteNazis in German established a lot of concentration camps in their country, the primary usage of camp were to murder a mass unit of the Jewish people.
ReplyDeleteAmong all the other camps, there was the earliest one called "Dachau", first operational in March 1933 for placing the prisoners. Later, the doctors and scientists used many prisoners at Dachau as guinea pigs for experiments.
Besides Dachau, there was a lot more concentration camps also known to be used for extermination, averagely killing the amount over 340,000 Jews per camp.
Fortunately, the American troops closed down all the camps in 1945, and rebuilt into other structures in order to hide the Nazis crime until now.

ReplyDeleteThe horrible second world war started, in my opinion, in march, 1933. the begin of rotten minds and people starting to think "kill the Jews? why not? they are awful, they should be killed!!" this article is a secondary one so it doesn't really contain any feeling or emotions but still from the large amount and density you can easily see that the Natso-Nazis have no love at all for the Jews and they were only tools to them. i feel bad for them. they were completely innocent (unless they attacked the police) the only wrong to the Nazis was that they were jews. oh. my. gosh. look at the names and the numbers of the camps. close your eyes. millions of death. horrible.

ReplyDeleteI think that this is a historical event and no one should forget. This is very for the Jews to be treated like taht just because of the second world war. Until 1942 they murdered 1500000 Jews!! This is such a terrible and horrible and a evil thing the Nazis did. So keep this in mind and remember how lucky we are not living in the old times.
ReplyDeleteThis is really a ricial discrimination. The Jews were innocent! What Nazis did conldn't be forgived. So many lifes ended in the horrible camp. This frighten history must not be forgotten. It was such a shame. I don't think that the Nazis know what they were actually doing. The picture that a soilder shooting the man very impressed me. The man still holding a kid!
ReplyDeleteThis is about the concentration camps which is such as a kind of jail.
ReplyDeleteThe Nazi put so much innocent people into the camp, such as Jews or even homosexuals.
The first concentration camp opened in March 1933, that is the horrible start for the "prisoners".
And the most horrible part, their main purpose to do is to killed all the innocent people!
They stared that at about 1942, that is so terrible for the Jews and the other people there.
They found less personal ways to kill them, and that really is the most sorrowful part for the Jews history.
How poor they are......

ReplyDeleteOne of the first Nazi concentration camps, named Dachau was opened in March 1933. They only caught the Jews who objected them at first. Then six death or extermination camps were constructed in Poland, which were Auschwitz-Birkenau, Treblinka, Belzec, Sobibór, Lublin (also called Majdanek) and Chelmno. These camps killed millions of innocent people. Chelmno, began operating in late 1941. The others began their operations in 1942.
ReplyDeleteIn the beginning of the murder of Jews, Nazis used mobile killing squads called Einsatzgruppen.By the time Himmler ordered a halt to the shooting in the fall of 1942, they had murdered approximately 1,500,000 Jews.(That's really terrible. So many lives had gone because of this.)Starting in 1942, the Jewish genocide went into full operation. Auschwitz 2 (Birkenau), Treblinka, Belzec, and Sobibór began operations as death camps. There was no selection process; Jews were destroyed upon arrival.
The total figure for the Jewish genocide, including shootings and the camps, was between 5.2 and 5.8 million.(A really horrible number of Jews.)

The first Nazi concentration camp,Dachau, was first established in 1933, prisoners include Jews,Gypsies, and people who were against the Nazi . Chelmno, another concentration center assembled in Poland, also known as the death factory, killed millions of blameless Jews in various of brutal ways. approximately 2.7 million Jews were murdered in death camps and the total unit of Jewish genocide, was in a mass number between 5.2 to 5.8 million. Just imagine millions of people lifes, perishing infront of your eyes, and you'll understand how horrible it is .
ReplyDeleteThe first concentration camp was opened in 1933
ReplyDeleteThe prisoner which is included the Jews and the Gypsies, but the truth is that they didn't do anything wrong. They are innocent but being into the concentration camp.
In 1944, the Nazi was biginning to lose the war, so they tried to destroy the camps, tried to cover up their crimes. That is the dark history which the Jews had come through.
The Jewish were treated inhumanly. They were forced to go from their homes to the wicked concentration camps. The Jews were tourtured, labored, counted like criminals, abused, and end up getting killed. The officers and soldiers had them all rounded up and treated them like animals. These camps, or some call it death factories were Auschwitz-Birkenau, Treblinka, Belzec , Sobibór, Lublin (also called Majdanek ), and Chelmno . They or used to kill millions of innocent people using different methods. They began in the early 1940s. The Jews were tourtured, labored, counted like criminals, abused, and end up getting killed. The officers and soldiers treated them like animals. The Jews get killed by executions, mass murder, starvation, work-overload, experiments, and other even more inhuman ways.
ReplyDeleteThe first concentration camp operated in March 1933, which contained the only purpose—to kill people. The people who objected Nazis, or the people of Jews, Jehovah's Witnesses, Gypsies, dissenting clergy, homosexuals, were all the objects the camp arrested and killed. The unfair and mean function of the camp was killing people, which made me and everyone so disappointed. There were several camps like concentration camps, forced labor camps, extermination or death camps, transit camps, and prisoner-of-war camps. The people who were sent or arrested to there were living in the horrible environment and brutal treatment. Although it was already in the past, we still could not let bygones be bygones. Through, the lives are valuable and invaluable.
ReplyDeleteAfter i look the article, i think it was very unfair to the Jews. If i am the jews, maybe i wi;ll go to die because I think I cant bears any thing that is unfair. And after I read this article, I found that I am very hate the people that abused the Jews

ReplyDeleteTry to picture this. When you were chatting happily with your friend under a tree, hearing sweetness sound of little birdies. The wind blew softly, bringing the most joyful spring to you. Then, BOOM! There lay your friend on the icy ground. The air froze. You couldn't fell any warmth from the sun, but only blood.
How unfair. They didn't do anything wrong. They were killed only because racialism.

Nazi concentration camps, which were also called death camps, first began in 1933. At first, the victims were only known political opponents of the Nazis, communists, social democrats, and others who had been condemned in a court of law, but later, more people became the victims, including Jews, Jehovah's Witnesses, Gypsies , dissenting clergy, homosexuals and other people who were not agree with Nazis.
ReplyDeleteNazis once used mobile killing squads called Einsatzgruppen to kill Jews, and they murdered almost 1500000 Jews. The concentration camps, known as the death camps, was just a better, faster, less personal method for killing Jews.
The total number for the Jewish victims was between 5.2 and 5.8 million. About 5 million other victims perished at the hands of Nazi Germany.
It was the most miserable tragedy in history.
The Nazis was conposed of many many different camps. And those different camps had almost the same purpose, to killed the Jews and other peoples that were just like the Jews. Some of those camps like death camps or the labor camps killed the peoples in no reason or make them did a lot of work. Although the Jews did not do any bad things, they were treated as prisoners. Acorrding to the number of the dead victims, you can see that the Nazis hardly had humanities. The large death number shows that none of the peoples have a reasonable rights. Their right had controled in the Nazis' hand.
ReplyDeleteOne of the first concentration camps, Dachau, was opened in March 1933. At first, the camp only interned the political opponents of the Nazis, but gradully, the camp started to intern people who were denounced for making critical remarks about the Nazis, and the Jews were also included. Then more and more camps were set to kill more and more innocent people. The people that were killed in the camps were between 5.2 and 5.8 million, almost half of the Europe's Jewish population, the highest percentage of loss of any people in the war. This was why it called death camps.
ReplyDeleteThe camps, the kind of "Death factories", were the purpose of killing millions of innocent people, there were six of them, the living condition of all the camp were brutal. In the beginning of the mass murder of Jews, Nazis used mobile killing squads called Einsatzgruppen, after some times, Himmler ordered a halt to the shooting in the fall of 1942, they had murdered approximately 1,500,000 Jews. The death camps proved to be a better, faster, less personal method for killing Jews. In January 1942, the Nazi officials agreed to SS plans for the transport and destruction of all 11 million Jews of Europe, using the latest twentiest century technologies, efficient engineering and mass production techniques for killing the following racial groups. They totally killed near half Jews in Europe. The horribly tragedy in the history.
ReplyDeleteOne of the first concentration camps,Dachau, was opened in March 1933.Nazi Germany established these extermination or death camps for the sole purpose of carrying out the industrialized murder of the Jews of Europe-the Final Solution. They received worse treatment than the other prisoners. When the camp opened, only known political opponents of the Nazis were interned. These camps were established in occupied Poland and Belarus, on the territory of the General Government.Over three million Jews would die in them, primarily by poison gas, usually in gas chambers, although many prisoners were killed in mass shootings and by other means. The camps were liberated by the Allies between 1943 and 1945, often too late to save the prisoners remaining. when the UK entered Bergen-Belsen concentration camp in 1945,60,000 prisoners were found alive, but 10,000 died. This is definitely one of the biggest tragedy in the history that we must keep in our mind.
